Getting Started
How does the application process work?
Most applications start with a quick phone call, usually around 10 minutes. We’ll ask a few key questions, check everything lines up, and guide you through what happens next. No lengthy forms and no back-and-forth emails.
What happens after I apply?
Once we’ve got your details, we submit them to the right lender for conditional approval. We’ll often apply for a maximum lend so you know the full amount available to you, giving you more choice before you commit to a vehicle.
How long does the whole process take?
Most applications get an initial decision within a few hours. Once your documents are confirmed, funding can often happen within 24 to 48 hours, sometimes quicker.
What documents will I need?
Once you’ve got conditional approval, we’ll ask for your driver’s licence, proof of address, and proof of income. If your situation is a little more complex, we’ll guide you through exactly what’s needed to keep things moving.
Vehicle Loans
What can I use a vehicle loan for?
Whether you’re upgrading the family car, buying your first vehicle, or adding to a business fleet, we can help find the right finance for it.
Do you help me find a vehicle, or do I need to find one myself?
Once you’ve got approval, we can carry out a nationwide search to help you find a vehicle that suits your needs and budget, so you’re not limited to what’s on your doorstep.
How long is my approval valid for?
Loan approvals typically remain valid for 30 days, giving you time to find the right vehicle without rushing the decision.
Personal Loans
What can a personal loan be used for?
Personal loans can help with life’s bigger moments, from consolidating debt to funding a major purchase.
Is a personal loan different from a vehicle loan?
Yes, the structure and lenders can differ depending on what you’re borrowing for. We’ll match you with the right option for your circumstances rather than a one-size-fits-all product.
Approval & Eligibility
How much can I get approved for?
This depends on your income, expenses, credit history, and the type of loan you’re applying for. We work with multiple New Zealand lenders to find the best possible approval and structure for your situation, often within the same day.
Do I need a deposit?
Not always. Some customers are approved with no deposit, while others may need a small contribution depending on the lender, vehicle, or credit profile. We’ll explain your options clearly and help you choose the most affordable structure, not just the fastest one.
What if I've had credit issues in the past?
Don’t count yourself out! Because we are a brokerage, we aren’t limited to the strict rules of the big banks. We work with a wide panel of specialist lenders who are often more interested in your current financial stability than your past situation. While past credit issues might mean a slightly different loan structure or interest rate, let’s have a quick, confidential chat – if there is a realistic way to get you approved, we will find it.
Insurance & Protection
Do I need to take out insurance or warranty cover with my loan?
No. Add-on products like Mechanical Breakdown Insurance (MBI) or Payment Protection Insurance (PPI) are completely optional. The only thing lenders require is standard comprehensive motor vehicle insurance to protect the car itself. Any extra warranties or loan protection products are entirely your choice.
What protection products do you offer?
We work with trusted partners including Provident, Assurant, Autosure and Janssen Insurance to offer mechanical breakdown cover and other protection products alongside your finance.
Can I take out insurance even if I don’t have a loan with you?
Yes, absolutely. You don’t need to finance a car with us to protect it. Whether you paid cash or financed through someone else, we can still set you up with standalone Mechanical Breakdown Insurance (MBI), standard Motor Vehicle Insurance (MVI), or other protection products.
